Lock-down time and we are confined to our homes for safety. It is  definitely tough for all of us. This is not only the time to just deal with the current emergency but also build foundations of resilience to face difficult situations in future. On behalf of DMA, I would like to inform you that our entire team of 190 teachers is busy in rethinking and reinventing the education process. Your child’s education is our first priority and we have been busy devising creative methods to engage students and in this series we have been regularly sharing important notes and assignments through school website, YouTube videos and social groups. In case you are not receiving our study material you may contact the helpline numbers shared below.We have also launched a new learning portal ‘Guru’ (www.guru.modischools.in) which will take care of all the learning needs of your ward. An SMS has been sent on your registered number stating the username and password for this portal. The ‘Guru’ is a unique platform where your ward will be able to access the course material, chapter wise e books, assignments, notes, recorded and live classes, online quizzes, assessments, Questions and answers, mind maps, ppts, smart content and much more. Students will be able to complete the assignments on the system and submit them for evaluation on the same portal. Students will also be able to meet their teachers as per the timetable available on the same platform. Each chapter has an evaluation section where your ward’s learning is going to be tested and a detailed report will be shared with parents on a regular basis.Apart from this class teachers and subject teachers will also be in touch with students on WhatsApp groups for doubt clarification sessions.The lock down is building new arteries within homes , families sharing domestic chores and forging deeper bonds, therefore how about considering this challenge as an opportunity to shift focus from ' schooling only at schools' to school home collaboration for learning' A word of caution at this stage , while technology will be required for home learning at the same time we wish to sensitize you about the misuse of technology and the internet.Please provide your support to your wards helping them to access this platform on your laptop/ desktop/ tab or smartphone with a working internet connection with alert and close monitoring.
